A Message on Good Sportsmanship to Our Community and Sports Fans

Following some concerning behavior at recent athletic events, this message serves as a reminder of expected fan conduct at district-sponsored activities and outlines the consequences for failing to meet these standards. We appreciate your cooperation in helping create a safe and positive experience for everyone involved.

School athletic events are learning experiences for our students—not just competitions. They should reflect our shared commitment to positivity, encouragement, and personal growth.

Good sportsmanship promotes respect, positivity, and safe behavior among players, coaches, officials, and fans. We expect all fans, students, and visitors to contribute to a welcoming and supportive environment.

Specifically, we expect:

  • Positive, respectful behavior at all district-sponsored athletic events.
  • An environment free from harassment, negative comments, profanity, or inappropriate actions.
  • Respect for game officials, who are present to administer the contests and whose decisions should be honored.

Any behavior that detracts from a positive atmosphere is prohibited. Violations of these expectations may result in removal from the venue and suspension from future district events
